Our location in Middleton-in-Teesdale, near Barnard Castle in the heart of Upper Teesdale provides an excellent base for your stay.

All our rooms have en-suite accommodation plus television, self-dial telephones and tea/coffee making facilities. We have 10 double/twin rooms, 4 single rooms and a family room. They are all tastefully and individually decorated and are warm and welcoming, immaculately clean with crisp white linen and ver conscientiously maintained.

There is also a spacious Residents' Lounge plus a bespoke Dining Room. The hotel is tastefully  furnished and decorated; modernised whilst maintaining the tradition of this historic listed building. We are a family-run hotel and therefore have the philosophy that all our guests should be treated in the same friendly and caring manner.
